This Privacy and Integrity Policy applies specifically to the Carcare mobile application (“the App”). Carcare is a product provided under a separate legal agreement between the user and the Carcare provider (“the Carcare Agreement”). This policy explains how the mobile app uses device permissions and processes data in order to provide its functionality. For full details regarding data ownership, data sharing, legal basis for processing, and user rights, please refer to the Carcare Agreement.
1 RELATIONSHIP TO THE CARCARE AGREEMENT All users of the Carcare mobile application are subject to an existing contractual agreement governing the use of the Carcare platform. That agreement defines: Data ownership Roles and responsibilities regarding personal data Data sharing and processing terms Legal rights and obligations This policy does not replace or override the Carcare Agreement and is limited to app-specific behaviour.
2 APP PERMISSIONS AND DATA ACCESS The Carcare mobile application requests access to certain device features strictly to support its core functionality. Camera Access The camera is required to: Scan vehicle license plates Scan Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN) This enables automatic identification of vehicles and retrieval of vehicle data within the Carcare platform. Camera data is processed only at the time of scanning and is not used for any other purpose. File Access File access is required to: Allow users to attach files (such as documents or images) to vehicles Store supporting vehicle-related information within Carcare Files are uploaded only when explicitly selected by the user. Location Data Location data is used to: Record and display where vehicles are parked Support vehicle management and tracking within Carcare Location data is used solely for operational purposes within the App.
3 HOW THE APP USES DATA The App uses data exclusively to: Enable interaction with the Carcare platform Improve efficiency and accuracy in vehicle handling Provide core app functionality The App does not: Use data for advertising Collect data beyond what is necessary for its function
4 DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY All data accessed through the App is handled in accordance with the Carcare Agreement. The App implements appropriate technical measures to: Prevent unauthorized access Ensure secure transmission of data Protect user and vehicle information
5 USER CONTROL AND PERMISSIONS Users can manage app permissions (camera, files, location) through their device settings. Disabling certain permissions may limit the App’s functionality. Requests regarding data access, correction, or deletion are handled under the terms of the Carcare Agreement.
6 CHILDREN’S PRIVACY The Carcare mobile application is not intended for use by children under the age of 13.
7 CHANGES TO THIS POLICY This policy may be updated to reflect changes in app functionality or legal requirements. Updates will be indicated by a revised “Last updated” date.
